JO JEWELRY NECKLACE

THE AUCTION IS NOW CLOSED

This necklace was donated by Jodi Heinhorst of Jo Jewelry.  Each of her pieces is handmade with great love.  Jodi says this about this one of a kind necklace:

This is a sterling silver water casting.  Recycled silver is melted in a crucible and then poured into a large vessel of water.  When the molten silver meets the water it quickly cools and the water "casts" the silver.  Wanting to fill the water casting in a medium that resembled water I settled on resin.  I tint the resin in various blues.  The casting reminds me of tiny tide pools.  I love making them, I love water, I love blue.  The sterling water casting is on a sterling chain.  The chain has an apatite charm (tiny blue stone) and a hand stamped "j" tag.
